Destructo in The Lab LA

The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, live and direct from our Downtown LA office. This Thursday, Destructo joined us in The Lab LA.

Los Angeles is a special place for Destructo, born Gary Richards and also well known as the founder of the successful HARD Presents which puts on HARD Summer, HARD Day of the Dead, Holy Ship! and many more.

Gary rose up in the early 90s as a DJ and producer in Los Angeles and went on to establish RaveAmerica, one of the pioneering events of Southern California before moving on to an A&R position at Def American Recordings. 2007 was the debut of HARD, and he's since become an essential power player in the fabric of Southern California's electronic music scene.

He joined us as Destructo in The Lab LA on Thursday ahead of HARD Summer, which takes place July 30 and 31 in Southern California.

On opening duties, we're brought in The Interns, the Los Angeles duo also known as Colby J. & Tōks that have rightfully made their way around the Southern California circuit at festivals like Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Splash House and more.

The Lab LA is strongly powered by Void Acoustics. Subscribe to Mixmag TV and watch Destructo in The Lab LA on Mixmag's Facebook page starting Thursday evening 8pm PST.

The Smirnoff Sound Collective is all about bringing fans closer to the DJs, providing up and coming talent with a solid platform and throwing unique events where fans and artists can party together. Check out more from the Sound Collective here
