It's focussing on its festival in Croatia and spot at Glitterbox instead

Sad news for Defected fans. The label's Ibiza residency, Defected In The House, won't be returning to the island this year as it turns its attention elsewhere.

It won't be totally missing, though. Usually setting up at Amnesia on Tuesdays, alongside Together, this summer will see Simon Dunmore's label and party present at Glitterbox at Space every Friday of the season.

Another reason for taking a step back is its new Defected Croatia festival, described as "five days of house hedonism", at The Garden Tisno in Croatia.

The line-up for the festival is expected soon, with Defected promising "house superstars, disco icons and underground heroes" playing beach sessions and boat parties in the day and night action taking place at open-air club Barbarellas.

On the decision to take a hitatus, Dunmore said: "Defected has always looked forwards to new challenges and todays clubbing landscape is offering more diverse opportunities.

"Last summer we enjoyed yet another successful season at Amnesia and, despite numerous offers for the coming season, we feel that it is time for a fresh challenge. We have decided that hosting a festival in Croatia is a hugely exciting opportunityfans something a little different this summer."
