Big changes may be coming to Burning Man.

Following news about Burning Man Project's purchase of a $6.5 million, 3,800 acre venue called Fly Ranch located 21 miles north of Gerlach, the transformative event seems to be expanding its reach yet again with another property acquisition.

Black Rock City, LLC, the organization that owns Burning Man, bought seven parcels of land in Gerlach, NV. The asset was bought off of local celebrity Giovanni "Bruno" Selmi, who also owns multiple businesses around the city, for $169,993

The transformative festival has taken place annually at Black Rock Desert for the past 30 years, and while previously, Burning Man confirmed that the annual event would remain in Black Rock Desert, the possibility of forthcoming extensions of the flagship event don't seem too far out of the question.

It’s safe to say that Burning Man has big plans for the future. Added to July's Where The Sheep Sleep festival kicking off in The Netherlands for the first time this year, Black Rock City is on its way to becoming a global behemoth.
