Black Coffee was honoured as the winner of the BET Awards's Best International Act: Africa category at the weekend. He's the first South African artist to scoop one of the revered gongs.

The achievement also marks a milestone for the recognition of international house music. The platinum-selling artist and producer, also known as Nathi Maphumulo, was the only electronic music act to be nominated in his category.

Other acts competing for the title included AKA, Diamond Platnumz, MzVee, Serge Beynard and Wizkid.

Congratulations to our August 2015 cover star! Keep spreading worldwide positivity and love for house music.
