A new mau5trap heavy-hitter
After ATTLAS appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the fall of 2014, he was quickly followed by speculation that he was actually deadmau5 performing under an alias. Putting rumours to rest, just last April ATTLAS aka Canadian producer Jeff Hartford played the Governor's Ball after-party in NYC alongside the mau5 himself.
Following his debut mau5trap EP 'Siren', ATTLAS is back with 'Scene', which showcases 6 of the producers distinct compositions. With one mau5-y progressive-electro track released already called ' Wastaga', Mixmag grabbed 'Rasor' for a premiere in anticipation of the release of the 'Scene' EP, which is due out August 7.
While unique in its own structure, 'Rasor' remains loyal to the taste of the imprint, reminding listeners of Deadmau5' own productions. It has a lengthy buildup which eventually drops into a low-riding glitchy electro journey with a handful of squeaks to remind you exactly which imprint it belongs to.
