A Craig David and Drake mixtape could be on the cards

Craig David reckons he might record a mixtape with Drake.

Fifteen years since telling us he was born to do it, the 'Fill Me In' singer might well have proved he's slicker than your average this year, making a comeback through this BBC 1Xtra madness with Kurupt FM and hooking up with Big Narstie.

Now he's saying a collaboration with 'Hotline Bling' rapper Drake could be in the works after bumping into each other recently.

He told 1Xtra: "When the time is right, when it's really right, and there's the Craig David/Drake mixtape, I promise you, not on a 'Get gas, beg a man to be on his record' kind of thing, because he's the hottest thing right now. But he'd easily be like, 'yeah man I want to do that.'

"When I saw Drake in this restaurant, we walked up to each other and there was this moment. I was like, 'Oh man 'Hotline Bling' is all I'm listening to.' And he was like, 'Man I need to call my producer'".

Before that arrives, we'll probably be treated to the planned material with Diplo, Kaytranada, Washington rapper Goldlink and Chase & Status.
