Who? Kölsch, purveyor of epic, organ-drenched electro and techno.
Why? New album '1977' is a cerebral ride through stellar dancefloor music and is a fine addition to Kompakt's discography during a year which sees the revered German label celebrate 20 years in the game. Though Rune Reilly has been producing under various aliases for some 20 years, it's under his Kölsch moniker that he's really hit his stride. '1977' is his debut album and it's a confident, highly assured and damn danceable work that has pricked the ears of the Mixmag staff as well as the likes of Andrew Weatherall and Felix Da Housecat. We've got the premiere of the LP, which you can hear in full below. Enjoy!
What can I buy? '1977' is out on June 24.
