Last year the spanking new Ushuaïa open- air club and hotel was the talking point of the island, and this year they’ve followed up in style. Luciano and Fatboy Slim will play the opening parties on May 26 and 27 and there’s a very special event planned for early August. For 2012 there will be some minor changes to the venue – owner Yann has been to Bali to source more of the crazy animal sculptures that give the place its distinctive character, and each night will have its own custom DJ booth to add to the wow factor. This year those nights will feature some of the biggest hitters around, with weekly parties from Luciano, David Guetta’s FMIF, Swedish House Mafia and Avicii. Bear in mind that the Pool Disco and Chic ’n’ Sexy nights are for hotel residents only.
