How do I get my artists in a feature/’Hello my name is…’ page/’Keep an eye on’ page?
We have monthly meetings to decide which artists go into which mag. Email what kind of music the artist makes, what they have coming up in the next two months, why they are hot, why they’re better than others in their genre, why we’d be stupid to ignore them and anything else we must know about them as well as a link to their music/myspace to nick@mixmag.net AND ralph@mixmag.net including. If we like them we’ll contact you for pics.
How do I get a competition in the magazine?
Our comps in the mag are only for holidays or kit worth over £1000. If this is what you are offering contact nick@mixmag.net. If not you might have more luck getting a comp online. See below.
How do I get a competition online?
Comps online need to run exclusively for mixmag.net users and cannot be part of a bigger comp across a range of websites or mags. Prizes need to create a buzz so signed CDs, merchandise or guestlist places are not enough to get a comp. Comps must be up for over a week. If you fit this bill contact sean@mixmag.net or seb@mixmag.net.
How do I get a new story online?
Send it to seb@mixmag.net or sean@mixmag.net.

Yes. The homepage news stories are available as a feed.
Are there any posting guidelines?
Only a few – we trust you.
• keep things clean and friendly.
• remember: any comment you make can easily be taken the wrong way. If in doubt, leave it out.
• if you do offend someone, apologise.
• use plain English: this isn’t the place to impress with the size of your thesaurus.
• generally, short posts are better than long posts. On the web, brevity rules.
• PLEASE DON’T SHOUT!!!!!!!!!!! That cap lock key wasn’t invented to help you get your message across. Messages written in all caps are annoying, hard to read, and loud.
