Police presence ruins Norwich silent rave

Local Norwich ‘ravers’ and the Norfolk police are having a bit of a bickering match about the silent rave that took place in the city centre this Saturday.
More than 100 people met to dance to music played into their headphones from MP3 players.
Although the police deny the claims, groups of people who attended the event are moaning that police ruined the fun by interrupting the event.
Brett Lemon, 30, a father-of-two from Acle, told Norwich Evening News: "It was just a nice get-together with no trouble. Some parents even brought their children along.
"The police came along and moved us, but I can't see why as we weren't causing any trouble."
A police spokesman said: "Police were aware this event was going to happen so officers attended the area at this time. The event went smoothly and police did not have to intervene at any point."
With all this racket, they’ll soon be making more noise than the actual party.
