Gatecrasher will be spending £5m renovating and transfoming Birmingham nightclub, The Works, into a new Gatecrasher club.

The club is now closed until its reopening at the end of September.

Interestingly, Gatecrasher have told us they are currently undergoing a nationwide search for 'architecturally significant buildings' to convert into nightclubs across the UK.

Cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Brighton, Liverpool and Dublin have all been earmarked as part of the brand's expansion plans through 2008 and 2009.
