Rumour has it MySpace are getting very close to setting up a DRM-free download service which would be able to sell users music directly to other users.

The New York Post reports licensing negotiations with Warner and Sony BMG are going well. It's thought labels that sign up will get a cut of the the sales and ad revenue made from the site's sales.
