Now I'm no Christian, but even I was surprised to hear, in Eddie Amador's classic track 'Rise', that "Whenever you need Jesus, he gives you two Es". If that's the case, I'm going back to church!
Any other misheard/half-understood dance lyrics out there?
I can think of many
I can think of many instances when this has happened to me. One of my favourites was a couple years back when I went to see Soulwax in Nottingham. I took a mate who wasn't very familiar with their music and got really into it and started screaming out "it's not you, it's the cheese talking!"
Seemed very funny at the time, not so much now.
that one by Wamdue project a
that one by Wamdue project a few years ago - 'King of my castle'..? its apparently something about 'freeing a trapped soul' but i thought it was 'free in my trestle.' isnt a trestle a long posh table?!
I have never worked out that Michael jackson one - 'wanna be startin' something'..? any clues?!
Praise Cats, 'Shined on Me'
"I got peas, peas in my bowl... I got love makin' me whole..."
I'm sure it goes on to say something about "cheese in my roll" too!
Burger King fries again...
I said, "Burger King fries again" from the oft re-released MK mix of Night Crawlers' 'Push The Feeling On'. To this day, I've no idea what the bloke was quacking on about.
MC's talking about their breakfast
Maybe it was just me hearing things but I'm pretty sure if you listen to D'n'B MCs in clubs they chat some realy wierd stuff.
A couple years back me and a couple mates listened intensly to MC Bassman in Nottingham and we all agreed that his chat went along the lines of:
"Give me some bacon, beans, cheese on toast... that's what I love the most. Add a poached egg in that mix... now that's my perfect breakfast fix."
Anyone heard something similar from MC's in the past?
Just noticed another...
...on the Mixmag Dennis Ferrer CD! Track 4 seems to be all about 'Paula Radcliffe'...
I reckon it is. It's all
I reckon it is. It's all about the Paula Radcliffe (mix).
