Thank God someone put this dismal place out of its sorry misery, I have been a regular for many years, mainly due to the poor choice of clubs in sheffield, I was there for an hour on the friday before it went up and left after wayne wonder came on in the main room, im not sure what this club had to do with the Gatecrasher label really? There was only one big night every bank holiday, usually Judge Jules which you were paying £30 a whack for, this is south yorkshire, not ibiza! The place has detiorated drastically, a few years ago there were minibuses outside because people travelled from all over the country to come, maybe this will be a blessing in disguise because the place was an embarrasment after holding so much hope for sheffields dance scene when it first opened. R.I.P Republic!

what is that guy talking about above!! gatecrasher was legendary in its day!! no wounder why he had a pants night out and thort it was crap coz crasher has never been on a friday so obviously this guy is going on the wrong nights for a start and i thort he was a regular? if you go to crasher regularly then you would know that gatecrasher purchased the club 4 years ago (formally known as "republic") hens why it changed its name to gatecrasher 1, also gatecrasher decided to move the night to monthly so that means gatecrasher was only on once a month and focused on expansion i.e gatecrasher loves nottingham/gatecrasher leeds,also people from all over still went to gatecrasher and found different ways of transport, but as we all know the club was burnt down but still the name is still alive and kicking with the other 2 clubs that are open plus the gatecrasher brand is in sheffield at magna, hope this answers his comment :)
