Deadmau5 defends his "all DJs are f***ing c**ts" comment

After suffering the wrath of the DJ world with his "They're f***ing c**ts" comment, Canadian upstart Deadmau5 has moved to clear things up on his Myspace Blog.

The man in the mouse head said: "Okay, to say 'all djs are... etc etc', to be taken literally as this article did, was just painfully stupid on their behalf."

"I'm not a total fucking idiot and I recognise talent when I see it... and there are many talented DJs out there for sure In my eyes, those would be the individuals who utilise technology to deliver music in ways that are both skillful and innovative," he added.

While he admits that he lacks 'DJ roots', he says he would rather stay at home than be dragged to a club to see DJs who "simply mash the play/stop button and occasionally move a pitch slider."

The drama shows no sign of relenting, with hundreds of comments already being posted on forums across the world.

Agreed, and you'd think with a new album out he'd think a bit more before saying something like that. I was going to get his album but don't think that's gonna happen now

Cocky?

Let him say what he wants, I'm glad someone says what he thinks instead of pussy footing around everyone, god, the majority of house ARE boring to watch. As long as the mau'5 keeps creating awesome productions no one can stop him.

How do you fall up your own ass?

Im kind of wondering how someone can fall.... up. Again I'm not from the UK, so I don't know a lot of Brittish sayings

pussyfooting?

Ok this is officially the second time in my whole life that I have heard the word pussyfooting. Is this a new term? Is this a Brittish term? What does it even mean? I just want to know so I can use it and sound cool if it is a Brittish term. Im from the US so if it's Brittish I have the oportunity to sound cool and edgy.
