Chase and Status video stokes the 'pre-pitched CDs' debate
Last week Mistabishi was exposed as a cheat when he confessed and apologised for miming to pre-mixed CDs.
Now the drum 'n' bass forums are frothing at this video showing Chase and Status using pre-pitched CDs (ie the tracks have been recorded onto CDs all at the same BPM so they don't need to beat match them)
It seems the fans are divided over whether this kind of practice is 'killing the scene' or it's just a time saving device, common practice with DJs.
Chase and Status certainly arent the only DJs to use pre-pitched CDs, and since most Drum 'n' Bass tracks are around 174 or 175 BPM is this really such a big deal? What are your thoughts?
