Recording Mixes

What you'll need to get is a few things. First of all you need to get an external soundcard for your laptop (I'd recommend novation or m-audio). Then you'll need software that will let you record and edit your mixes on the laptop, eg. wavelab. Once you've got the decks connected to your laptop through the soundcard, you can play your set and wavelab will record it. You can then edit it and change parts, like if your mixing is a bit dodgy in places you can tidy it up. After that it's just a case of burning off the mix onto CD.

Hope I've helped.

get a copy of sound forge

get a copy of sound forge and nero. wavelab is good and will do the job but soundforge is better i think. everyone tidys up there mixes, you never buy/hear a mix cd with a dud mix but you here them out all the time (because we're human!) with laptop mixing technology and some cd mixing tech machines are making sure we dont make mistakes.
