Breakspoll 2008 (Breaks Awards) winners...

BreakspollMixmag has a medium sized hangover after last night's Breakspoll, otherwise known as the Breaks Awards.

Big winners on the night included Plump DJs who scooped three awards including Best Big Night for Eargasm.

Krafty Kuts decided to pull out of the race for Best DJ and instead presented the award to The Stanton Warriors.

ILS won Best Album for 'Paranoid Prophets', Fingerlickin Records won Best Label, Atomic Hooligan won Best Live Act, Mixmag fave Alex Metric won Best Breakthrough Producer, Know How Records won Best Retailer, Annie Nightingale picked up Best Radio Show, Nuskoolbreaks.com won Best Radio and Best Website.

The Outstanding Contribution to Breaks was won by Paul Arnold of Chew the Fat. Paul, who is suffering with leukemia, couldn't make the show but close friends told us he is on the mend but still has a long way to go. We wish him all the best.

Also...

...as an aside, since the Best Magazine category was scrapped this year, this means this is the first year that Mixmag didn't LOSE this award.

Meanwhile the so called Best Website still hasn't posted the award's results on their site as we type this. That's a bit Janette Slack!

meanwhile... mixmag has

meanwhile... mixmag has claimed to have posted the winners in full, but managed to miss best small club, breakthrough dj and best remix.

Also, its the 7th breakspoll awards, not the inaugural one....

Now thats a lot of a Slackers Convention.

That's fair enough - its all

That's fair enough - its all I could remember the morning after the event. And since we were the first to post the results I had no other means of reference except my hazy memory!

Save your snide comments?

Did you even bother to try searching the forum on the site you so quickly pour scorn on? Theres been about 6-7 different threads with the full list of winners. You tool.

Maybe stick to thinking up new sub-genres in future or maybe some new superlatives for the "next Daft Punk".....

Your reporting is "well Jackson".

are you surprised?

.... hardly suprising you never picked up that award realy, with sub standard reporting like that you lemon!

Not even close to all the winners and then sarky digs at other websites hardly puts you at the top of the game!!

Fingers crossed you'll pick up tool of the year award, then you can go out and celbrate for a few days and stop writing gash articles!

We Salute you!!!
