Blog #9- Would you get a tattoo in Ibiza?
The sun is out, it's getting hot here and people are stripping off and revealing things which may be better still hidden. Don't get me wrong I like tattoos, I think the right ones on the right people can look amazing, however I have seen some dodgy ones out here.
With ample tattoo parlours it's a popular trend to get one done while on holiday. However, there is also ample alcohol available so I'm not sure how much of a good idea it is.
After a particularly boozy evening some fellow workers were approach by a camera crew - they were invited to pick a card and get whatever they chose tattooed on them. They now don a bunch of bananas and a pink duck with a blue flat cap on their stomach and foot, respectively. Well, at least it's a story to tell.
Others have such a good time on their hols they feel getting Ibiza scrawled on their skin is a fitting way to commemorate it. When PRing the other day my friend commented how one boy's "Ibiza 10" looked like a 5-year-old had done it. Turns out it was like that because the tattooist had let the boy's friend do it!
Many workers last year got the logo of the workers' bar, Viva, tattooed on them. I'm not convinced you need a tattoo to remind you of doing a season in Ibiza, it seems unforgettable to me so far!
I have offered to pay for one boy to get the Eroski logo on him but I think he's had cold feet as he keeps saying he'll get it "tomorrow"!
It is always good to have a tattoo with some kind of meaning . . . just remember kids a tattoo is for life, not just a holiday!
PS Any ideas on what I should get done?
