New York DJ and producer Adam Goldstone passed away this week after a
fall at the Burning Man festival; coroners reports suggest it could be due to an enlarged heart.
His
stylish but vibrant fusions of dub, lounge, new disco, Latin, house
and other styles were much loved by dance music connoisseurs – he was
best known for his 'Lower East Side Stories' album on London's
renowned Nuphonic label. Goldstone was very committed to the
political power of underground dance music, often speaking of its
abilities to bring people of diverse races and sexualities together in
a way that authoritarian sections of society found threatening. A great loss.
