Grooverider has two weeks to appeal his prison sentence
Drum 'n' Bass DJ, Grooverider has under a fortnight to appeal the four year prison sentence he was given on Tuesday.
The Radio 1 presenter, real name Raymod Bingham, was arrested at Dubai Airport in November for possession of a spliff's worth of cannabis.
Grooverider has hired Mohammad Al-Reda - the lawyer who successfully managed to get R'n'B singer, Dallas Austin, pardoned for drug charges in Dubai in 2006.

Grooverider gets sentenced to 4 years in Dubai prison
Grooverider has been sentenced to four years in prison.
The Radio 1 presenter and long-time DJ partner to fellow drum 'n' bass pioneer, Fabio, was arrested for possesion of 2.16 grams of cannabis at Dubai airport in November.
After an initial hearing in January, Grooverider, real name Raymond Bingham, told the court he did not know the drugs were in his possession and that he had no intention of bringing them to Dubai.
He was sentenced by the Dubai Court of First Instance and will be deported after serving his sentence.
