Damian Lazarus announces US tour

Hat-sporting underground house and techno fiend Damian Lazarus kicks off his 2nd North American 'Devil Night' Tour on 17 October.
He'll take in 13 dates across the US and head back to Mexico for three dates, with a Halloween stop at Avalon in LA, coinciding with his new residency, and a Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) party in Mexico City.
The tour coincides with the upcoming release of his debut artist material and his re-location to Los Angeles.

Utah Saints, Krafty Kuts and A-skillz for Beachdown festival

The acts are set to play alongside Soul Of Man and Absorb in a special line-up celebrating 10 years of Finger Lickin’.

Also added to the bill for the fledgling festival, which takes place at Devil’s Dyke, Brighton on August 22-25, is inimitable electro-peddler Kissy Sell Out, who will be showcasing his already infamous new live show.

They all join a bill which already boasts the likes of Andy Weatherall, Mr Scruff and Hercules and Love Affair. So if you’re the sort of uber-cool kid who hasn’t yet planned their bank holiday blow-out, this could be for you. Tickets are £85, check out www.beachdownfestival.com for more info.

The Whip Announce Tour dates

The WhipNeo-Madchester indie-electro rockers The Whip have announced the dates for their all-ages May tour of England and Ireland. One highlight is a special over-18s gig in London at 93 Feet East on Wednesday 14th May, with support from remix specialists South Central and Kitsune's 'Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya.'

Garnier and Tiga set for Exit Festival 2008 in Serbia

ExitThe organisers behind Europe's top festival, Exit, have added to their pulling power by announcing that techno legend Laurent Garnier and electro stalwart Tiga are set to grace the Serbian summer event.

Karen Young, Exit's Dance Arena Manager, told Mixmag: "We are very excited to have Laurent Garnier and Tiga to play, and we still have some big acts to announce. We are all delighted to have such a strong line-up this year, we're sure everyone will enjoy themselves."

The festival won the European Festival of the Year at the Festival Awards last year, and with 2many DJs, Sven Väth and a live set from Booka Shade already confirmed for the Dance Arena, it wouldn't be surprising to see it steal the glory this time round.

Tignes festival announced in French Alps

TignesIt seems Snowbombing will have a rival this Spring with the launch of the Tignes festival in the French Alps. The festival will run from 17th to 20th April and the line-up spans dance music to punk rock.

Felix da Housecat releases Global Underground Milan

young felixElectro legend Felix Da Housecat has finished work on his first-ever Global Underground compilation. The compilation - called 'GU - Milan' features classic Felix tracks like the Steve Angello remix of the Diddy-vocalled 'Jack U' as well as a mixture of brand new and older material from Zoot Woman, Thomas Bangalter, Motor and Model 500.

But before the CD drops, we thought you'd like to see a picture of Felix from back in the day.

"This was taken the first time I came to London when when I was staying in Billericay, Basildon!" he laughed. "Soulwax have already made this picture their screen saver." We can see why.
