In Flagranti to play Record Store set tomorrow night

In Flagranti, cosmic disco revivalists, analogue electro retro fetishists, cut and paste production masters and remixers, beloved of folk like Erol Alkan and Soulwax, and regulars on Mixmag covermount CDs, are playing a gig in a London record store tomorrow night, which should be cool.

You can catch them at Pure Groove in EC1 from 8pm, and it's free.

Majorca Rocks Hotel set to open in June

Still undecided where to go on holiday this summer? Well June sees the opening on a new hotel that shows promise. Based on the very successful Ibiza Rocks Hotel, the Mallorca Hotel is set to open.

Like the hotel in Ibiza, the new location in Magaluf will have a a permanent courtyard stage which will see a variety of big stars performing kicked off by the Kooks.

Zane Lowe is also confirmed for the event which will be June 6.

The Chemical Brothers Return For Three Live shows

After nearly eighteen months The Chemical Brothers announce three live gigs.

They will be playing shows in London at Roundhouse on May 20 and 21. They also have a headlining slot at Sonar festival in Barcelona June 19.

The boys, who have a reputation for having legendary shows, promise to have something special up their sleeves, deeming these show not ones to miss.

Warehouse Project Open for Easter Weekend

If you can't wait until September before your next Warehouse Project fix, fear not, they are opening their doors once again for a one off easter weekend.

The weekend which will be April 1-4 is packed full of big names. Kicking off the Thursday will be 2manydjs and Annie Mac, Friday will be a drum & bass spectacular with Ronnie Size and Dynamite MC, Carl Cox and Eric Prydz will both be on the decks Saturday, ending the weekend on Sunday with Dubfire.

NYC Trio Vinyl life remake Joey Beltram's Energy Flash


In their latest tribute, Vinyl Life remake the Techno Classic "Energy Flash" by Brooklyn's own Joey Beltram with new lyrics by Phaze Future.

The track was made from the ground-up with no samples.

The band-made video, however, is all sampled clips that are jacked from youtube - we thought you might enjoy the dancing!

Tranzmission to return to London's Alexandra Palace in April



Slammin' Vinyl's huge Tranzmission event returns to Alexandra Palace on Saturday April 3.

The Capital's largest dance event is all about hardcore, drum 'n' bass, hard dace, old skool, jungle and more: One Nation, Hardcore Heaven, Frantic, Raindance and Braindrop will all be hosting arenas.

First Wave of Acts Announced For Bestival 2010


This year's Bestival promises to be just as unique and outlandish as the rest. Dizzee Rascal, Chase & Status, Simian Mobile Disco and Annie Mac are all set to play. Rob da Bank will be doing a DJ set and Hot Chip will be returning for their fifth year to the festival!

There will be more surprises in store, such as what the fancy dress theme, that the festival is renowned for, will be!

Australia's Future Music Festival kicks off at the end of the month


Excitement is mounting for this year's Future Music Festival kicking off in Brisbane on February 27.

The award-winning festival that takes place annually in five different locations in Australia, coincides with Sydney Mardi Gras and Melbourne's Formula One Grand Prix.

Carry a Condom and get queue-jump at Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound are the latest club to offer queue-jump privileges to clubbers caring a condom on selected nights.

The nights that will be held on February 6, February 20 and March 13. Headlining these nights will be Fredde Le Grand, Laidback Luke and Roger Sanchez.

The promotion is part of a nationwide campaign to encourage young people to regularly carry a condom to protect them against the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

Line up announced for this year's Great Escape

Chase & Status, Delphic and Ellie Goulding are the first wave of acts to be confirmed to be playing at this years Great Escape Festival.

Leftfield Return at Rockness

More Big Names Added to BLOC Weekend

Top US DJ Mix Master Mike from The Beatie Boys will be joining the line up for this years BLOC weekender at Butlins in Minehead. Also joining the line-up will be Kode 9 playing back to back with Martyn.

The weekend that will be running from the March 12 - 14 already has guests Salt-N-Pepa, Grandmaster Flash and Adam Beyer confirmed.
